Description:
Cefixime 400mg DT is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic formulated as a dispersible tablet for easy administration. It is used in the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), gastrointestinal infections, otitis media (middle ear infection), sinusitis, and certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like gonorrhea.
Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which leads to the destruction of bacteria. The dispersible tablet can be dissolved in water, making it suitable for individuals who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Usage Information
Dosage
Adults and adolescents (above 12 years): Typical dose: 400mg once daily or 200mg twice daily as prescribed by the physician. Administration: Dissolve the tablet completely in a small amount of water and consume immediately. Take after meals for better absorption and reduced gastric irritation. Important: Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve early.
