Description:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100mg DT is a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, formulated as a dispersible tablet to treat bacterial infections in children and adults. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of the bacteria.
This formulation is ideal for pediatric use, as it easily dissolves in water, making it suitable for children who have difficulty swallowing tablets. Usage Information
Dosage
Children: Typical pediatric dose is 10 mg/kg/day divided every 12 hours (usually one 100mg DT twice daily). Adults: As directed by the physician. Disperse the tablet in a small amount of water before giving. Complete the entire prescribed course, even if symptoms improve early.
