Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100mg DT is a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, formulated as a dispersible tablet to treat bacterial infections in children and adults. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of the bacteria.
This formulation is ideal for pediatric use, as it easily dissolves in water, making it suitable for children who have difficulty swallowing tablets. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, ear infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis, urinary tract infections, and certain skin infections.
