Composition:

Cefuroxime 250mg + Clavulanic Acid 125mg

Indication:

Pharyngitis & Tonsillitis, Skin & Soft Tissue Infection, Pneumonia & Bronchitis, Post Surgical Conditions.

Description:

Cefuroxime 250 mg + Clavulanic Acid 125 mg combines the cephalosporin antibiotic Cefuroxime with Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination provides enhanced effectiveness by protecting Cefuroxime from bacterial enzymes that would otherwise degrade it.

Cefuroxime is a second-generation cephalosporin with broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Clavulanic acid helps extend its action by preventing resistance mechanisms in bacteria, making this combination particularly useful for treating infections caused by resistant strains.

This formulation is commonly used to treat respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sinusitis, and bacterial pneumonia.
