Faropenem 200 mg is a broad-spectrum oral beta-lactam antibiotic belonging to the penem class. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. Faropenem is highly effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including strains resistant to conventional antibiotics.
It is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, ENT infections, and gynecological infections. Its oral administration makes it a convenient alternative to injectable antibiotics in many clinical scenarios.
