Description:

Amoxicillin 400 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 57 mg DT is a broad-spectrum antibiotic formulated in a dispersible tablet (DT) form, primarily used in pediatric care. The combination provides extended protection against bacteria, including those producing beta-lactamase enzymes that normally resist standard penicillin antibiotics.

  • Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that interferes with the formation of bacterial cell walls.

  • Clavulanate potassium acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, protecting amoxicillin from degradation and enhancing its effectiveness.

This formulation is used to treat:

  • Respiratory tract infections (tonsillitis, bronchitis, sinusitis)

  • Otitis media (middle ear infection)

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

  • Urinary tract infections

  • Dental infections

The DT (dispersible tablet) format makes it ideal for children who have difficulty swallowing standard tablets.
